Why your player is in this stage
Your answers suggest that the biggest issue is not effort or soccer talent. The process itself may still feel unclear, and your family may not yet know which actions matter, when they should happen, which schools are realistic, or how the different parts of recruiting fit together.
Without a clear plan, it is easy to spend time and money on camps, showcases, profiles, or outreach without knowing whether those activities are moving the process forward.
That does not mean your player is behind or cannot play in college. It means the first priority is creating clarity.
Milestones to focus on now
These are the milestones that matter most right now.
- 1Confirm that playing college soccer is genuinely your player's goal.
- 2Understand the recruiting timeline for their graduation year.
- 3Get an honest starting point for their realistic athletic level.
